Early 20th Century Ruins?16 viewsThis structure is located a mile south and three-quarters of a mile east of Walters on Hwy. 65. I've heard two different stories regarding its history. One relates how it was part of an early oil refinery built to refine the oil that was discovered in shallow wells throughout that part of Cotton County. Another story tells of how it was part of an early "turn of the century" cannery, to process the produce that the rapidly developing agricultural community was producing. (1 votes)

Dad on our posing rock next to river11 viewsThis is our usual photo op rock. It makes for good pics with the waterfall behind. However, after the rainfall the water is much higher. With a lot of rain the rock is barely accessible. (1 votes)

2006, Thanksgiving35 viewsThanksgiving means more and more to me as each year passes; there are more and more reasons to be thankful! Brandon and Marcy couldn't make it this year and they were surely missed. Hazel is recovering from breast cancer, and we found out, only a few months ago, that Bud has liver cancer. With this knowledge some might have difficulty being thankful today, but that's hardly the case. Even when life is hard, the thanksgivings outnumber the misgivings; it actually makes our blessings more meaningful! (1 votes)
