WinterA Southwest Oklahoma winter is hard to describe because you can't put it in a box. It's isn't unusual for winter day temperatures to reach lows in the teens with windchills below zero. Then again, it isn't unusual to have days with highs approaching 60 under clear blue skies. And both can happen in the same week!

Autumn

Autumn is a favorite time with the color, weather, light, and wind all changing. It's a reminder that all things pass, both good things and bad things.

Sunsets

Since 1879, the 100th Meridian has been the boundary between the moist east and arid west. Because the 100th Meridian is the boundary that separates Southwest Oklahoma from the Texas Panhandle, it is usually drier than we'd like and generally in need of rain. Couple this with wind that is almost always present, and you have optimum conditions for creating astonishing sunsets.
